Fall Reflections

IMG_1735.png

Fall is a wonderful time to reflect on our relationship with ourselves. It’s easy to be caught up in a quest for perfection or to be stuck in the comparison game with the people around us. We all do it.

Just as in nature, we are not all created the same or placed on the same path. Some leaves turn purple, some orange, some yellow. Some fall in September, October, November, December.

I don’t know about you but I can say for certain that any sign of fall is a welcomed event. I’m not out looking at a specific leaf questioning why it hasn’t turned to a beautiful shade of orange or completed it’s journey to the ground. I’m sipping my PSL wrapped in my cozy scarf and marveling at the scenery of different timing, different shades, and different textures.

Maybe it’s time for us all to practice holding the same reverence for our own path that we do for nature’s. As Brene Brown said, “Let go of who you think you are supposed to be and be who you are.”

Yall take care - Dr. T
