Trauma is frequently missed or mis-diagnosed as ADHD - especially in children. It’s not surprising given the overlap in symptoms and because:

(1) some research suggests that having ADHD increases the risk of developing trauma symptoms after a traumatic event and

(2) trauma can make ADHD symptoms worse.

Whether you or someone you love is struggling with one or both of theses diagnoses - treatment is available. Tackett & Bradstreet recommends that you find a specialist when treating ADHD and trauma. Local clients can call us today to seek services or request a referral.
